HW Catering began as school cooking demonstrations and has since evolved into a thriving social enterprise with a dedicated commercial kitchen established in 2021. The program provides comprehensive training opportunities for refugees and people seeking asylum, offering two primary pathways:
TAFE Pathway
Certificate III in Hospitality enrolment
Minimum 108 paid hours in commercial kitchen
Supervised by Head Chef
Ongoing professional mentoring
Alternative Pathway
Food Handling Certificate Course (Level 1)
Basic kitchen hand skills training
390 paid hours in commercial kitchen
Career pathway exploration
